Sessions Held

With the theme of "Dunhuang in a Century", we extensively invite Chinese science fiction art creators to gather in Dunhuang, integrate Gansu's historical and cultural assets with tourism resources for literary and multimedia creation, and shape a science fiction competition with unique elements of science fiction and future industries in technology and cultural creative IP. Through contemporary expressions such as science fiction creation competitions, we deeply explore the historical and cultural value of cities, extract and select a group of classic elements and iconic symbols that highlight cultural characteristics, provide creative transformation and development practices for traditional culture in Gansu, promote and facilitate the cultivation and development of local science fiction and copyright industries, discover and discover talents, promote the integration of technology and culture, and ultimately promote the development of innovative cities. This competition lasted for nearly six months and collected a total of 1268 entries, integrating the historical and cultural resources of Dunhuang for thousands of years, shaping a cultural IP with science fiction and future elements. A judging team was invited, including Wang Jinkang, Vice Chairman of the China Science Popularization Writers Association and SCIENCE & FANTASY GROWTH FOUNDATION Supervisor, Han Song, Deputy Director of the Xinhua News Agency News Editing Department and Deputy Director of the Central News Interview Center, and Zhang Ran, a famous science fiction writer and initiator of the SCIENCE & FANTASY GROWTH FOUNDATION. A total of 356 entries were selected, including 236 literary works and 120 multimedia works. After two stages of online voting and professional evaluation, a total of 17 works including "Yellow Sand Reflection" won relevant awards. Currently, the award-winning works such as "Yellow Sand Reflection" have been published and distributed by Dunhuang Literature and Art Publishing House, a subsidiary of Reader Group.
