On the morning of October 20th, the inaugural Industry Development Summit of the World Science Fiction Convention, themed "Science Fiction Builds Dreams: Integration and Coexistence," was successfully held in the Sun Hall of Chengdu Science Fiction Museum. This was the first time the World Science Fiction Convention hosted an industry development event. Participants engaged in discussions and exchanges on topics such as the development of the science fiction industry, integration and collaboration, and future trends. Important guests included Gu Xuebin, member of the Standing Committee of the Chengdu Municipal Committee and Minister of Publicity; Ben Yaluo, Co-Chair of the 2023 Chengdu World Science Fiction Convention; Canadian science fiction writer Robert Sawyer; Dave McCarty, member of the Hugo Award Selection Committee; Richard Taylor, founder of Weta Workshop; Francesco Volso, president of the Italian magazine "Future"; Hiroshi Osawa, chairman of the Japan Science Fiction Writers Association; renowned science fiction writer Liu Cixin; and Guo Fan, director of "The Wandering Earth." Over 600 industry insiders attended the event.

Witnessed by numerous guests, the SCIENCE & FANTASY GROWTH FOUNDATION and Chengdu Tianfu Cultural and Creative Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. jointly established the Tianfu Jinpeng Science Fiction Public Welfare Fund and held a signing ceremony. The Tianfu Jinpeng Science Fiction Public Welfare Fund will strive to build a sci-fi enterprise incubation platform for the two cities, expand equity investment fund opportunities, operate sci-fi industrial parks, and create a sci-fi industrial base.

The conference also witnessed the release of three significant documents: the "Chengdu Consensus on the Science Fiction Industry", the "Tianwen" Plan, and the "2023 Chengdu Science Fiction Industry Report". Additionally, important projects such as the Three-Body Universe Headquarters Project, the Sino-Italian International Science Fiction Cooperation and Exchange Platform Project, and the He Xi Universe IP Transformation Project were signed.

The inaugural Industry Development Summit of the World Science Fiction Convention has garnered significant attention. The science fiction industry projects that have been collectively signed are highly valuable, with a total investment of approximately 8 billion yuan across 21 signed projects. The signing and implementation of a large number of science fiction industry projects will further address the shortcomings of Chengdu's science fiction industry chain, extend its scope, promote an overall increase in the scale and capability of the science fiction industry chain, and accelerate the construction of a high-quality modern industrial system.
