The competition started in late September this year, and although it started relatively late, it did not affect the quality of the collected manuscripts. Ms. Yan Qu, a third level researcher from Nanshan District Association for Science and Technology and representative of the co organizers of the competition, Wang Jinkang, a Chinese science fiction expert, director of the Science Fiction Creation Research Base of China Science Popularization Writers Association, and literary supervisor of the Science & Fantasy Growth Foundation, Han Song, a famous science fiction writer and deputy director of the Science Fiction Literature Committee of China Writers Association, Wang Nuonuo, Tan Gang, and Ma Guobin, chairman of the Science & Fantasy Growth Foundation, attended the award ceremony together.

He pointed out that with the support of the Nanshan District Association for Science and Technology, the Morning Star Awards has been held for nine consecutive sessions and has developed into one of the top events in the domestic science fiction field, providing a continuous stream of talent for China's science fiction industry and incubating a group of science fiction leaders including Shanghai, Chongqing, and other places. He stated that he will continue to welcome the arrival of the 10th Morning Star Awards through the cross disciplinary fusion of organizational genes and exciting long-term vision, as well as continuous innovation drive.

Sanfeng, director and chief researcher of the Science Fiction Foundation and chairman of the Morning Star Awards Science Fiction Literature Contests, stated in his concluding remarks that the theme of this year's Morning Star Awards is the "emergence" in the era of AI, echoing our exploration spirit in the field of science fiction. The characteristic of this Morning Star Awards is the emergence of a group of young authors, and the creative ideas of many new authors make it difficult for the judges of this year's manuscript to choose; In addition, the content of the submitted story responds well to the current hottest trend in artificial intelligence development and is very worthy of being arranged for publication in the next step.

Subsequently, host Ding Sitong announced the list of winners for the 9th "Morning Star Awards". The winner of the Best Short Science Fiction Novel award was "Whisper in the Wind," written by Ben Zhong. The winner of the Best Medium Science Fiction Novel award was "The Farthest Point of Dreams," written by a sailor from the Valley of Sailors. The winner of the Best Long Science Fiction Novel award was Miss Cynics' "Star Wish," and the only recipient of the Long Science Fiction Creation Funding Award was Apo's "Lucky Man.

During the conversation session of "Encountering Morning Star", Professor Wang Jinkang believed that there is a rare Science & Fantasy Growth Foundation in southern China that is full of idealistic colors and has been quietly cultivating science fiction culture. He hopes that the Morning Star Awards will make more and greater contributions to the development of science fiction in China; Wang Nuonuo said that it is not easy to have a national science fiction creation platform like the Morning Star Awards in this busy city of Shenzhen. It is best to cultivate an interest in science fiction from a young age and integrate scientific knowledge into future thinking; Tan Gang reviewed his journey of submitting articles to the Morning Star Awards and winning awards during his sophomore year in university, and continued to create under the encouragement of the fund, calling on more young people to write down their magical ideas.

After the award ceremony, a "Morning Star Special Presentation" dialogue was held, featuring the animated short film "Buddha Warrior" adapted from the original work of famous science fiction writer and one of the "Four Heavenly Kings" of Chinese science fiction, Han Song. The film explores a story that cannot be accurately described, telling the story of a group of Buddhas who come to this world from the future to save humanity in the apocalypse, but get involved in human wars.
