Science Film Week Science Fiction Competition Awards, Science Fiction Fund Lights up Shenzhen Science Fiction Morning Star

On September 24th, jointly hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and jointly organized by the Propaganda Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, the Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Shenzhen Education Bureau, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and the Futian District People's Government of Shenzhen, the "Morning Star · Water Drop" Asia Pacific Science Fiction Film Industry Contests Award Ceremony and the "Futurist Speaks" Science Fiction Science Popularization Summit Forum were held at the Shenzhen Central Bookstore. Zhang Zhiping, Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, renowned science fiction writers Wang Jinkang, and Wu Yan attended the award ceremony, and the event received support from multiple institutions and platforms such as Weixiang and Gaishi Yingju.

It is reported that the launch of the Morning Star China Science Fiction Original Competition series of this year's Science and Technology Film Week immediately attracted widespread attention from the national science fiction industry circle. Multiple upstream and downstream enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, New York, Hong Kong and other places, including Noyiteng, Mercury, Weixiang, Huoma, and Xianger Imaging, signed up to participate in the competition, initially creating a film and television industry competition platform with certain influence in the Asia Pacific region. On September 23rd, the organizer held a final at the Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Center, with the heads of several well-known investment institutions including Innovation Investment, Dongfang Fuhai, Guotou Innovation, and Hongshugu Venture Capital serving as judges. After a day of competition, Shanghai Nuoyiteng won the gold medal in the industrial competition, and the science fiction film project "Peach Blossom Spring" by Shenzhen Xiang'er Film Industry won the gold medal at the Film and Television Venture Capital Association.

Ma Guobin, the initiator of the Science & Fantasy Growth Foundation, introduced that the film venture capital association and industrial competition activities have received support from Tencent Science Popularization, attracting multiple science fiction film projects across the country. It is a major debut of "Chinese science fiction films" in Shenzhen, which will help Shenzhen further build a city of science and technology film and television in the future. The award-winning projects, including "Star Explorer", "Peach Blossom Spring", "Deep Space Law", etc., have attracted a large number of investors' attention. Investment institutions are very optimistic about the projects. At the award ceremony, multiple award-winning projects reached investment intention contracts with investment institutions, and there is an opportunity to explore more excellent projects to land in Shenzhen in the future. The Film Industry Competition is one of the "Morning Star Cup" series of China's original science fiction competitions, and is committed to discovering outstanding works in science fiction film and television.
