Exhibition of Science Fiction and Imagination Works by Chinese and French Art Masters on Display in Shekou

From November 16th to December 9th, the Sino-French Art Masters Science Fiction and Imagination Works Exhibition, part of the Sino-French Art Masters International Exchange Series of Events, guided by the Nanshan District Government of Shenzhen and jointly hosted by Shekou Subdistrict Office, Shekou Overseas Personnel Management Service Center, and SCIENCE & FANTASY GROWTH FOUNDATION, was exhibited in the corridor on the second floor of Shekou Baoneng All City. It was also displayed at Shenzhen University from the 23rd to the 25th.

The exhibited works include the Nantes City and Verne Photo Exhibition, posters from previous editions of the Nantes Utopiales International Science Fiction Festival, exhibitions of works by renowned French art masters, exhibitions of works by well-known Chinese artists, exhibitions of award-winning works from the Morningstar Science Fiction Art Exhibition, and the Shenzhen Children's Imagination Art Exhibition.

This exhibition brings the imaginative and artistic illustrations, paintings, and other works exhibited at various art festivals in Nantes, France, to our doorstep. It showcases the outstanding works of renowned French science fiction comic illustrator Bebdeum, the director of "Blood and Sand," the winner of the 89th Academy Awards Special Achievement Award—Ford Hu, the art and technical director of Industrial Light & Magic, as well as renowned artists such as Xu Tianhua and Shark Dan. These works are exhibited alongside the excellent science fiction artworks from Morningstar, attracting many citizens to stop and admire. Each piece of science fiction artwork, whether literary or romantic, leads citizens to appreciate the beauty of science fiction.

With the continuous deepening of the construction of an international community in Shekou, and in order to further demonstrate the international vitality of Nanshan Shekou, and in alignment with Nanshan District's goal of "striving to build an international and charming bay", we aim to enrich the artistic atmosphere of Nanshan Shekou, activate creative forces, and specially invite French Nantes art masters and domestic first-class art scholars to carry out a series of summit forums, artist visits, art exhibitions, and other themed activities in Nanshan Shekou. These activities will showcase Shekou's imagination for the future and disseminate Nanshan Shekou to the world through the threads of technology, art, and culture.

Themed "Connectivity", this series of Sino-French exchange activities has established a dialogue platform between Nantes, France, and Shenzhen, China, two cities that embody modern fashion while retaining an artistic ambiance. It also provides an opportunity for the most avant-garde and fashionable artists from China and France to engage in intellectual exchanges. Using culture and art as bridges, and cultural activities as the cornerstone, Sino-French exchanges will become more intimate and closer through the interaction between Chinese and French art masters.
